Read more How many bedrooms? 1 Lives in: Cologne, Germany When did you move into this home? Six years ago Let's start with the neighborhood. What's it like where you live? I love my neighbourhood, because a lot of families and students live here. Near my home is a big park and a lake. Jasna painted her kitchen table turquoise. The light fixture above the table got upgraded with a drape of colored garland. What makes your home offbeat? I looove colours and good moods. I try to create harmony with colours, patterns and texture. Happiness, joy, light, flowers, sunshine, pillows, candles. My home is feminine and a little bit romantic. OMG! Polka dotted fridge. In a small space, doorknobs and radiators become bonus storage! Yup, that's also a vintage bike basket that she's using to store her scarves What's the most challenging about this space? How do you deal with the challenge? My apartment is very dark and small. No space for stuff. I can't buy a lot of things. And I have to use a white floor and white furniture to bring light in the rooms. I love using bright clothes as decor OUTSIDE of the wardrobe. Jansa's workspace. What's your favorite feature of your home? My favourite place is my big balcony in the summer time. When I'm sitting there with a cup of tea I look in the garden… this makes me happy. What's the most important lesson you've learned from this home? The lesson that I have learned from my home is that you don't need a lot of money to have a beautiful home. Everything in my home is not expensive. The furniture is from Ikea (I have painted it in ivory white). What's your grandest plan for the space? I'm dreaming of a new bed in wood and with a headboard covered with fabric. A big colourful quilt for my bed and pillows. What advice do you have for other offbeat homies? Colours are very important. Use only colours you like in your home. Everything looking ugly put it away in a cupboard, so you don't see it always. Flowers, pillows, candles! Any stuff or services you want to recommend? My apartment still looks like we just moved in. Less boxes and cleaner, but not very attractive. 4 agree Reply Ah ha! I love this whole tour – and I already had the bathroom on my Pinterest decor board! I wish that I could have this much white in my house… but my grubby toddler and big, hairy black dog scare me. 2 agree Reply We live in a tiny flat and I SO wish it looked like this. Alas, with a husband on the verge of being a hoarder, a baby and 2 step children with an obsession with tiny little plastic animals, I suspect it might be difficult to achieve. A girl can dream though. 2 agree Reply Just think of the tiny plastic animals as colorful floor decoration! 😉 5 agree Reply This has inspired me SO MUCH to really work on making my "new" (borrowed form the in laws) house my own. It's beautiful. Maybe a little too girly for me, but very well done! Reply So much COLOR without it being a punch in the face. I really love it! Reply Everything is so cute! Everything! There's not a thing that isn't cute! 4 agree Reply Wow, love this apartment, especially the balcony! The colors really bring it to life. Sehr schoern 🙂 1 agrees Reply I really like how colorful and cheery it is, even when the base for everything is just white. I'm liking this idea of white eveyrthing with my art and rugs and such making it colorful. Sounds like a good idea for an apartment where you can't paint. 1 agrees Reply I love the makeover you gave to your buffet/china hutch from Ikea! The patterned paper on the doors and the distressed paint looks amazing! 😀 Reply This is SO BEAUTIFUL! Reply Awesome! It reminds me of a dollhouse. It is refreshing to see such a lovely and whimsical décor scheme. 1 agrees Reply Wow. Omgwow. Dream home. Reply Join the conversation Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
