Hold the phone! (The landline kind — you know, the one that’s wall-mounted and has one of those extra long cords?) I found THEE MOST ’80s ROOM OF ALL TIME. This room looks like it should be a set of an (early era MTV) music video. Or maybe a set piece from Earth Girls Are Easy. It shocked me to my core and then rocked me all night long, because it was so unexpected!
I’ve been reading a lot more blogs about simplicity and minimalism when it comes to fashion, wardrobes and homes. And a commonality that I keep seeing is white, black and neutrals. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good black and white, especially in fashion. It’s classy and clean. But I am a vibrant and colorful person, and I need that in my home! The real estate listing describes this Australian home as, “A wonderland of colour, this torrens titled character maisonette is filled with a whole lot of charm!” You say “whole lot of charm” I say “whole lot of pictures of cats” …and dolls, and hanging baskets full of fake flowers.
Surprisingly there is no mention of the RAINBOW FIREPLACE in this real estate listing! If you were to ask me, I’d totally describe this place as “the LA funky house with the rainbow fireplace.” And the outside doesn’t even hold a candle to the amazingness contained within…
This beach house for sale in Laguna Beach has a coral-colored lesson for all of us… How lovely does it look when you match the color of your front door to the color scheme of your living room?
Offbeat Homie Kayla uploaded these photos to our Offbeat Home & Life Flickr pool. Unhappy with a boring white rental kitchen, Kayla rounded up a whole bunch of colorful kitchen goodies, and turned her boring rental into an colorsplotion fiesta of kick-ass kitchen-ery.
