I know we have a lot of TV-loving Homies. Last time I geeked out about the return of a beloved TV series, it was over Doctor Who. I did a Doctor Who-themed decor roundup, and y’all loved it! This time… you know what’s coming… WINTER IS COMING! With the return of Game of Thrones.

Let’s all sing this (very NSFW!) opening theme song and celebrate the return of my favorite HBO show with this Game of Thrones-themed home goods round-up.

Screen shot 2013-03-15 at 6.31.56 PMNot since my darling TARDIS mug have I freaked out this hard over a travel coffee mug. This is a heat-sensitive travel mug that starts black, and when it warms up it reveals the map of Westeros! In fact, I freaked out so much I totally bought this for myself. And just like the season premier of Doctor Who, I shall be filling it with champagne to drink while I watch the first episode of Game of Thrones season three!

Game of Thrones Coffee MugsIf you don’t need to drink your coffee (or champagne!) on the go, these Game of Thrones house sigil ceramic mugs are awesome too. They come in House Stark (black, gray, white) and House Targaryen (black, red, white) right now.

31ipsIXNSRLThis horn beaker is made by Abbeyhorn — The same craftsman that makes all the horn products for “Game of Thrones.” That’s some next-level fan merch shit!

Game of Thrones CoastersHouse Sigil Coaster Set features the sigil of a house in its signature colors: the dragon of Targaryen, the dire wolf of Stark, the stag of Baratheon, and the lion of Lannister. You can also get more house sigils with the “Season Two Coaster Set.”

Game of Thrones Stark Direwolf BookendsThese Direwolf bookends display the animals of House Stark’s family sigil, guarding the Stark crypts located below Winterfell. They are not only adorable at 8″ tall, but they’re also the perfect way to display your Game of Thrones books.

Screen shot 2013-03-15 at 6.35.33 PMThere are tons of Game of Thrones posters from which to choose and proudly display, but I love the old world look of the Westeros and Essos map.

GOT shot glassesThis shot glass set is inspiring me to start a Game of Thrones drinking game. Take a shot every time there’s a sexposition scene? Holy crap, I’m drunk already.

4152Tt9Zs7LThese are by FAR the coolest ceramic coffee mug, holder, and dispenser set that I’ve ever seen. The mugs all connect to to make the entire map of Westeros.

Screen shot 2013-03-15 at 6.42.08 PMI didn’t think Jon Snow could get any more adorable, until I saw him as a Pop! Television figurine.

Screen shot 2013-03-27 at 10.33.59 AMFeel like a total badass while opening your mail with this sword letter opener.

Screen shot 2013-03-27 at 10.47.46 AMOMG! Dragon egg paper weight for the win! I would walk into a fire with this thing and hope to emerged unscathed and with a brand new baby dragon.

Screen shot 2013-03-15 at 7.06.45 PMWhat does it say about me that the moment Ariel got wind of Game of Thrones-themed flasks, she immediately emailed me about them? And then what does it say that I totally bought the Targaryen house sigil flask? Just call me the Mother of Whiskey.

71FlgL26RQLFinally, I wish I could cook, because I would totally whip up some goodies from A Feast of Ice and Fire: The Official Game of Thrones Companion Cookbook to serve during my season premier viewing party.

Speaking of viewing parties… what are you going to do to celebrate the return of Game of Thrones this weekend?

Comments on Let’s celebrate the return of Game of Thrones with themed home goods!

  1. We Got a Game of Thrones themed apron off Zazzle for my BiL (along with the cookbook) for his birthday. We even personalized it with “House Familyname” running down the side.

  2. I have those coasters! Me and hubby also have glass tankards in lannister(him) and targaryen(me)! I’d love to do a game of thrones themed night ( like the walking dead post a while back), maybe with themed food and drinks. I kinda want one of those aprons!

  3. This makes me endlessly happy – there are pics of me and my toddler as Danaerys and a baby dragon from Halloween in the OBF Flickr pool. 🙂

  4. Ommegang (Belgian brewery in Cooperstown, NY) has a special edition Game of Thrones beer- the Iron Throne Blonde Ale- that my husband and I will be popping for the premier of season 3. The bottle itself is badass! See it here.

We got our bottle at Wegman’s, if you’re interested in trying to secure one for yourself!

  5. I bought the cookbook for my (Vegetarian) Friend last November. A couple of weeks ago we had a feast in preparation for the new series, and she said she found it challenging to veggiefy some of the dishes. It was all completely delicious though in the end, and veggified with a bit of imagination.

Also a must try in the book: Meringue SWANS! AMAZING.
