  • Are you still trying to dig out from under all the tomatoes in your garden? I just picked seven today! Deena found Ample Harvest, a site which helps farmers and gardeners find food pantries in need of their surpluses.
  • Thanks to Maggie for pointing out this Apartment Therapy link last week: How to build a ball pit on your balcony!
  • Megan made sure I saw Curbly’s How to turn a milk jug into a sandwich box, which is too damn cool.
  • Bored today? I’m thinking about taking Offbeat Mama’s hint and doing a little marshmallow construction craft to clear my head.
  • Have you seen Catalogue Living? Lady Brett thought we all would like it: and who doesn’t like sarcastic imaginary catalogue captions?

    • Same here! At least I just got to cry with laughter at a few though after a taking a welcome break from university assignments, I call that progress.

  1. Burninator was a doppel bock we brewed a couple years ago. Many bock beers are, for some reason, named with “-ator” at the end (Ayinger Celebrator, Bell’s Consecrator, Troegs Troegenator, etc.). For us, there could be only one “-ator”: Trogdor, the Burninator!

  2. Hahaha, “beer-time stories” made me think something like, “Oneth upon a tiiiime…HEY! Waitaminnit! Do you know who I am?! Do you you know…. Hahahaha, lookit this guy! I love this guy… you remind me of, uh…? Wait, what?” Which is how I imagine a beer-time story would go! 🙂

  3. Wow! Those tree banisters look like something straight out of Lord of the Rings!

Although the shot of the base looks more like some type of squid monster trying to steal the step.
