A friendly hedge and a nod to Trogdor — in this week's reader photos

October 3 |

Hellllllllo, Offbeat Homies! Let's get the week going with a look at what's been going on in the world of our readers, taken from the Offbeat Home Flickr group and Pinterest.

What's on tap?
Kisså's brew board -- what's on tap and what's on deck and brewing. I need to make one of these. And also I want desperately to taste 'Burninator'.

  1. Oh my god, Catalog Living is going to seriously damper my productivity today.

    • Same here! At least I just got to cry with laughter at a few though after a taking a welcome break from university assignments, I call that progress.

  2. Catalog Living is hilarious! I think it's time to catch up with Gary and Elaine again :)

  3. Burninator was a doppel bock we brewed a couple years ago. Many bock beers are, for some reason, named with "-ator" at the end (Ayinger Celebrator, Bell's Consecrator, Troegs Troegenator, etc.). For us, there could be only one "-ator": Trogdor, the Burninator!

    • Pretty please tell us more about your beers? Read us beer-time stories every night.

  4. Hahaha, "beer-time stories" made me think something like, "Oneth upon a tiiiime…HEY! Waitaminnit! Do you know who I am?! Do you you know…. Hahahaha, lookit this guy! I love this guy… you remind me of, uh…? Wait, what?" Which is how I imagine a beer-time story would go! :-)

  5. Wow! Those tree banisters look like something straight out of Lord of the Rings!

Although the shot of the base looks more like some type of squid monster trying to steal the step.

  6. TREE BANISTERS!!! If we had any open staircases in our house, I would totally install these. Alas, we do not.

    • We don't have any staircases at all, but that didn't stop me from trying to imagine ways of incorporating them into our apartment.
