Notes to baby: a pregnancy documented in photos

March 31 2011 | offbeatbride

I am a big-time fan of pregnancy series photos, slideshows, or whatever you want to call them — I think weekly photos of your pregnant self are a perfect way to document the progression of everything.

Rachel sent us a link to her maternity series a few weeks ago, and while yes, this sorta thing has been before (most notably by Pacing the Panic Room), I thought it'd be fun to share a few of my favorite from Rachel's set…

20 weeks pregnant! All photos by Rachel.

And psst… Rachel had a girl! Here's Havia:

  1. This was BEAUTIFULLY done! Such an adorable baby. I hope to start doing this with my son. (We're currently 23 weeks along)

  2. I love it! What a wonderful way to keep track pregnancy. You have photos and little notes. This is something her darling daughter can cherish <3

  3. Thanks very much for giving a shout-out to Ryan (and Cole) at the Panic Room. His work is really inspiring and it has obviously inspired a lot of pregnant mamas to get out there and make some lovely keepsakes for themselves and their babies.

  4. Would it be weird to do something like this during your second pregnancy if you hardly had any maternity photos taken with your first?

  5. Thanks so much for sharing our series with your readers and for all the support. This project was such fun for us to do and we are thrilled with how it turned out. Our next step is to make a Blurb book and send it off to the Grandparents as a gift 🙂

  6. I'm still pregnant and have taken tons of pics…I just wish I'd thought to write down little notes too. Such an adorable idea! With so much going on, I can be tough to remember the thrill of the journey! =)
