Holy crap, y’all. The craftiness of Homie Mich (of tv party, packing lite, vivarium, and tentacle challenge fame) knows no bounds… or sweet tooths!
Mich made sushi out of mutha’fucking marshmallow Peeps for Easter! These were all made with a combination of Peeps, Rice Crispy treats, Fruit Roll-Ups and Fruit by the Foot. Never have Easter treats been as cool since the zombie apocolypse basket!
Is this a new weekend challenge? Let’s all make Peeps sushi!
Since I hate all things that are whole and good,
I hate Peeps. In fact, I hate all marshmallow-based products.
That said, I know that there are those out there like me! WE ARE NOT ALONE.
So other candy sushi possibilities for those who want to be seasonal? Swedish Fish, jelly beans as roe and various cut-up gummies as pickled vegetables.

They certainly got some odd looks from my husbands family when I took them for Easter dinner last year! But they were well devoured after they got over the oddness

I’ve made candy sushi before, but I feel like I need a different base. I love rice krispie treats, but the flavors just never meld together right…
My mister and I made these last night … and they’re awesome! I actually think all the flavors melded great. And we used green icing “wasabi”, chocolate syrup with grenadine “soy sauce” and orange nonpareils “roe.”
