Jayme and David are the nerdiest of nerd parents and are welcoming their new baby with a bang.

Their maternity session guest starred Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th(!).

We’re a little late for our last Friday the 13th, but who would ever say no to a repeat event?! This is a killer horror geek maternity shoot…

Here’s how the couple pitched the idea to their photographer, Lindsay Docherty…

We’re into horror movies (Exorcist is best movie ever), things blowing up (we watch Die Hard each Christmas, cuz it’s a damn good Christmas movie), whiskey (not for my wife right now), listening to loud metal, and falling asleep while getting tattoos because dammit that needle is soothing. We’re looking for something a little nutty and off the beaten path for these baby bump photos, but not quite enough that anyone would get hurt or arrested… much.

The nursery itself has been transformed into a geek’s paradise: Dalek curtains, a “welcome little muggle” banner, handmade valances starring all of the Mario characters, assorted Batman and Star Wars figurines… this is going to be one pop culture savvy kiddo. Or “spawn,” as they have dubbed their new babe.

They snagged a few shots of them in video gaming action. They even announced their pregnancy with a picture of some baby Chuck Taylors and a note that said, “Player 3 loading.”

Our favorite parts, though? Their Darth Vader Christmas tree with a sign that says, “David, you will be a father?” And of course, a “That’s no moon” baby bump t-shirt. #GOALS
