Today is my favorite holiday celebrating an irrational number: March 14 is Pi day! (Get it… 3.14?) Last year, we honored of one of the geekiest days of the year by featuring this Pi-inspired kitchen backsplash. This year, I’m rounding up some home goods inspired by Pi itself.
Can you believe we live in a world in which “Pi-inspired home decor” is an actual thing? Like this Pi-symbol shower curtain on which 4,600 digits of Pi are printed in blue and grey. It’s stylish, functional, and so very geeky — I love it!
Yup, from shower curtains to cutlery, Pi has inspired a lot of home products, perfect to geek up any household…
This Pizza Pi cutter will help you with the hard math that is divvying up the ‘za.
Of course, there’s no better way to make a cherry pie than in this Pi pie plate!
Speaking of cherry pie, this Pi Pie Pan is almost irrationally literal.
Pies shouldn’t have all the fun. Cakes can get in on the action with the Pi baking mold. It is a perfect circle of deliciousness in the making.
Cool down your beverages, or make nerdy Jello shots in your favorite mathematical symbol.
Any mathematicians in the house? If so, then you already know that apparently this mug reads: “I ate some Pi …and it was delicious!”
Decorate a LOT of your wall space with Pi. This “piece of Pi” poster is over 5 1/2 feet tall.
This is called the “Ultimate Pi, Radioactive Element, Coffee, Quantum Foam, Robot Geek Soap Gift Basket.” ‘Nuff said.
What other ways can you celebrate your love of the longest irrational number in your home decor?
My husband decided that the library needed to celebrate Pi Day and baked his first-ever pie to share with his co-workers today. I’m very proud of him, not only for initiating a work event, but also for baking. 🙂
I love Pi day, we’re having pi for dinner tonight, I believe!
And all that decor was awesome!
I like metal wall art like http://www.rusticeditions.com has out there
My husband and I have that exact shower curtain, and two pi clocks as well. =D
WHAT!? That’s awesome. What do your pi clocks look like?
I LOVE the shower curtain!! It matches our light blue bath mat, and we really do need a new shower curtain. Hmmmm… 🙂
