This new glam goth IKEA collection could be the dark weirdness your place needs

Lady Gaga, stylist Bea Åkerlund (aka Beyonce’s stylist!), and IKEA (of all places) are collaborating on a new glam goth IKEA collection that is set to hit stores and online in March.

They’re pulling in dark colors, eccentric themes, and hints of circus to bring a little fun weirdness to the big box giant known for mostly affordable and Scandinavian basics.

Check out the black leather(esque?) corset-backed chair…

The line is called OMEDELBAR and features items like large glass top hat ice buckets, red lip-shaped pillows, 3D printed hands for jewelry, and marquee lamps. Here’s what Åkerlund said about her goals for the collection, outside of keeping it affordable for the IKEA audience…

“It’s a collection that allows for not taking life so seriously. I want people to have a little fun in their lives. You can get one hand and put it on the wall, or 100 hands and turn it into a piece of art. Buy one lip pillow, or buy 20 to create a lip pillow ocean. Fill the hat with anything: from apples to your collection of buttons, to your bathroom essentials. It’s really all up to you.”

Yup, those are hands for displaying jewelry and other small trinkets. Or use them as horns — you do you.

Keep an eyeball out for the OMEDELBAR line to hit stores in March.

Are you down or sticking with the Billy bookcases?
