New bedspread

Eagle-eye Ariel spotted this photo on Flickr and begged to know more about that bed spread. Vera was kind enough to give us the lowdown. This black and white beauty is the DENY Designs Valentina Ramos Doodles duvet cover. And THAT, my Homies, lead me to discover the amazing world of DENY Designs.

If you’re looking to add a little oomph to your bedroom, I’m gonna go ahead and say that you need to check out these awesome bed spreads. (By the way, most of these duvet covers also have matching shower curtains and pillows.) Hot decor made easy, folks…

Comments on Daring duvet covers that’ll revolutionize your bedroom

  1. Ohemgeee, I was just looking for awesome duvet covers! I bought a great one from Ikea, but these are so much more fabulous and lustworthy.
The beta fish cover reminds me of my kindergarten self’s pet. I named my fish Sapphire Diamond, even though I knew it was a boy, because I was 5 years old and I didn’t care, I wanted the most regal name known to man. This may have been when my journey towards LGBTQ advocacy started.

  2. I… But… I like my duvet cover, but I think I require a new one now… Like those cherry blossoms. Or maybe I’ll just buy the Betta Fish for my sister next Christmas? I think she has a duvet.

    • totally justified… You’re supposed to rotate them as you wash them.

Boyfriend and I are blanket hogs so we each have our own queen sized duvet on the bed. His are grey/black colored and mine are purple. Well rotate black or purple stripes against black/purple solids. My purple stripes are ripping so we MIGHT need an elephant duvet!!

  3. Holy crap-I love the Octopus one more than I have the words for. I can’t even begin to consider a second, I am far too blown away. Off now to do some clickin’ and droolin’. Amazing find!!

  4. Confession: I don’t actually know what a duvet cover is for. Can you stick just any old blanket inside? Could this be the solution to my ugly-but-still-functional (sigh) bedding problems?

    • They’re usually for stuffing plain ‘ol comforters inside. But I’ve seen people use them to cover thick ugly blankets. So, yes! It’s like a slip cover for ugly-but-still-functioning bedding.

    • As far as I know (which might be wrong), they’re for stuffing a duvet in, which is one of those big fluffy comforters, normally filled with feathers. Since you can’t really wash them easily, being full of feathers, you use a cover to have something easy to clean. But there’s no reason you couldn’t shove whatever random blankets you want in them.

  5. OMG, AlL OF THESE ARE AMAZING!
Sorry for yelling, but seriously, yay!
I actually love every single one that has a tree on it. I need a tree on my bed!!!

  6. I love the ’70s vibe on a lot of these. When I was a kid I thought “yuck”, now I think “ah, nostalgic”! Funny how tastes change (or possibly disappear, depending on who you ask).

  7. Question: does anyone know how soft these are? My husband and I tend to place the softness of our bedding high above aesthetics, but man if it could be soft AND look this awesome…?

So, anyone have one of these and can tell a girl how snuggable it is?

    • I don’t have personal experience, but the description seems to think they’re soft: “…this duvet cover is not only personal, but incredibly cozy as well. Created out of microfiber material that is unique to DENY Designs, our duvets are ultra soft and amazingly comfortable.”

      • I have such a sad. I was totally ready to buy that octopus one but I hate microfiber and polyester bedding. I am a 100% cotton bedding kind of girl.

    • According to one of the Amazon reviewers:

“If none of you don’t know what microfiber feels like, its soft and is like the feel of a snuggie or a warm blanket but thicker. I don’t mind it but some others may be looking for something top notch. Either way I absoutely love it, and to be honest the feel is perfect for someone like me who likes to be warm when going to sleep.”

    • I’m afraid of ruining nice/fancy things on my bed. I’ve burned one too many blankets in coin-operated driers.
Which is doubly sad, because I got heirloom linens/bedding from each “side” at my wedding (totally unplanned but carries a lot of sentiment) and I’m afraid to use it and ruin it.

        • I’m with you! They are beautiful, but not cheap! My cat loves to play on the bed, so everything ends up with little tiny pulls in the fabric. I’d rather be able to have to cat snooze with us, than never let him in the room so he doesn’t ruin the very expensive doona cover.

          • You’ve definitely made the right choice – cats are more important than covers. That said, if you don’t mind a few pulls and hitches in your covers you can still have nice ones with gorgeous designs; just accept that the very expensive cover won’t look pristine for long 🙂

  8. I am so overwhelmed! How could a person possibly choose? I want to decorate a room around every single one of these designes. I am getting weirdly frustrated…

  9. I love all of these so so so much….

Here’s my problemo, I know my guy wouldn’t go for these. Gorgeous as they are, they probably have too many flowers for his taste (plus he has more modern decor tastes).

I would love to see more duvet cover posts because most duvet covers I’ve found are so…boring. We really need a new one!
