This photo (which I found nestled in an Airbnb listing for a funky cabin in Idyllwild, CA) may just give you some inspiration for pimping out your deck chairs.
If you’re thinking about making your own custom seat cushions, think about buying extra fabric (I’m REALLY digging the fabric used on these) and some foam, or other stuffing materials, and create a matching foot rest! This is a total deck-lounging upgrade.
Has anyone attempted to make one of these puffy foot stools? Any tips for the Homies?
This is perfectly timed. I’m going to be attempting a pallet sofa with cushions, so I guess I need to start thinking about fabrics.
I saw a tutorial recently that suggested that for making a footstool/poof thing you can actually use old rolled up blankets or duvets from the thrift store for filling, instead of spending lots of money on upholstery foam. I need to try this.

I saw this tutorial awhile ago on how to make ottomans using cheap $3 ikea rugs. http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/weekend-project-make-your-own-floor-pouf-retropolitan–175013 . It looks cheap and easy!
