For my birthday this year, my sister sent me something that has totally changed my outlook on gifts for women. It was a gift certificate for a pottery studio. At first I was like “When have I ever talked to her about pottery?” And then I read her note:

“I was listening to a podcast about how women aren’t the greatest at having hobbies… So I thought this would be a great hobby for some just-for-YOU-time.”

And, you know what… I DID have fun. And it DID unlock a new joy in my life. But I also have not been able to get that idea that women don’t have enough hobbies out of my mind. So this holiday season, if you’re shopping for gifts for women in your life, think about things that will inspire fun hobbies and encourage quality “just for YOU time.”

Here are some of the places you can find special experiential gifts for women:

Cratejoy

Cratejoy has a ton of thoughtfully curated craft boxes for adults, with specific hobbies like knitting or string art. Or you can give the gift of a new craft every month so she can explore what may become her next passion in life! Here are some more of my favorite boxes…

Paletteful Packs: Everything you need to create a work of art!

Airbnb Experiences

Airbnb is not just for finding a place to stay on vacation, you can also find things to do on vacation. Which means, if you look into your local Airbnb Experiences you’ll find endless unique gifts for women in your life, like learning about raising backyard chickens, and pottery lessons, and maybe even learning to fly a plane!

CreativeLive

For those can’t get “get out and go” (whether it’s Covid concerns, or accessibility issues) CreativeLive features workshops in photography, video, crafting, design, business, audio, music, and software training. You can easily gift a course to your favorite aspiring creative!

Uncommon Goods

This has always been one of my favorite places to find unique gifts, but now that they have online experiences as well, Uncommon Goods will become your favorite too. Plus they also have lots of DIY kit gifts like…

DIY Screen Printing Kit for the potential artist.
Infuse & Pour Alcohol Kit for the budding Mixologist.

This year, let’s all give the gift of helping more of our favorite women find their favorite hobbies!
