This Game of Thrones party snack spread should win the Iron Throne by rights
The most important thing that has every happened to me, my reason for living — Game of Thrones — is back on the air. Every Sunday I have a group of friends over to my apartment and we watch the magic and the madness unfold together. Usually I just put out some cheese and crackers, with enough wine to make Cersei proud. So imagine how huge my eyeballs got when I saw this spread show up in our Flickr pool…
A rainy, Michelin star-chasing, foodie vacation in Cartmel, England
Any food-enthusiasts and Michelin star freaks out there? If you’re thinking of taking a culinary-inspired trip, you’ll want to eat up all the details of Lydia and Johan’s foodie honeymoon to Cartmel, England.
Megan-simple turkey dog treats, for the gluten-free pups
These are so ridiculously easy to make. They’re great for squishing pills into, which is why I make them (just make sure to shred them really small so you get the right consistency or else the finished treats will fall apart). My dogs love them, and I love knowing exactly they are eating. Here’s how I make them…
Chocolate dipped nasturtiums
Years ago, as a child, my mother and I grew nasturtiums and dipped the blossoms in chocolate. I didn’t enjoy it much back then, as I didn’t like the taste of them (tart, almost radish-y). But as an adult, I’m loving them.
7 super-easy ways to eat healthier food on a budget
Recently I decided that I should probably stop eating lunch from the fast food place across the road from where I work, and that existing solely on oven fries and breaded chicken did not a happy Kitty make. The late night noms: how popcorn changed my life
My late night snacks always leaned towards the darkest sides of stoner food: quesadillas, cracker dipped in cream cheese, during more desperate moments, cheese melted on a plate scraped off with my own fingernails. On a whim last winter, I bought my husband a gift: a Whirlypop, which is a stovetop popcorn popper.
Cooking vs Arranging: Why Ariel is better at not cooking than Megan
This distinction between cooking and preparing is one that always comes up when I talk to Megan about her inability to cook. I’m always like, Bitch, I don’t cook either! That still doesn’t mean you have to eat frozen pizzas for every meal Megan defaults to packaged food (which puts her in good company with the majority of Americans), while I default to cutting up produce and cheese and setting them on a plate. Megan’s food might taste better, but my food is infinitely cheaper and definitely healthier.
