My tiny, kitschy, crafty, and Star Wars-y living space

It's easy to get wrapped up in trying to make your home perfect and coordinating and sticking to one certain look. I've tried for so long to stick to certain colour schemes, or a certain really specific look, and I was never completely happy and also could never get it quite right. Finally, I figured out that you shouldn't have to pick one thing you love and apply that to your decor, but instead apply everything you love to your decor. Like in my case I love kitschy, vintage things, as well as crafts and DIY, then mix in some Star Wars and dinosaurs and there you have it! It all combines to create a very kitschy, eccentric look.

Help us make our bed nook look less "Old European shack"

y manfriend and I recently downsized our bedroom. We moved our office area into our bedroom and moved our bed ( nothing else) into where the office used to be. The Bed takes up most of the room (we can't fit anything else in it)… it's more like a bednook really.

Now I need ways to make the room look more like a cozy sleeping space and less of a solitary confinement room. I've draped a scarf on the wall to make a "headboard" (it's just a mattress on the floor) but now it's got this "Old European shack in the middle of winter feel" to it.

Mass Effect-inspiration bedroom decor

From time to time, you'll come across a very special book, video game or TV series that transports you to a unique universe — and does it so well, you could believe it's real. The screen lights on, you turn the page, or press enter, and you find yourself in a completely different place. For me, the Normandy in Mass Effect was one of these places I wish I could really travel to: chill in the lounge, have a drink with Tali and jest a bit with Garrus. So what would I need to bring a little bit of that ultra-modern relaxing vibe home with me?
