Use your crockpot to make chicken tacos

My name is Mich and I'm addicted to my crockpot. *polite clapping*

Here's my favourite, cheap and easy crockpot recipe: chicken tacos. This recipe makes eight meals for me and my husband — that's 16 portions for about $14 (I buy chicken when it's on sale and freeze it).

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen chicken breasts
  • 2 cans kidney beans
  • 2 cans pinto beans
  • 2 cans corn
  • 1 large can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can diced tomatoes w/ chili
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix

Step 1: Drain and rinse beans and corn.

Step 2: Dump everything into the crockpot and stir.

Step 3: Turn crockpot on low for eight hours.

Step 4: Remove chicken breasts and shred, then mix back in.

Step 5: EAT. And then freeze the rest for left overs!

We like to eat the Chicken Taco mix stuffed into hard Taco shells with shredded cheese and dollops of sour cream, but you could eat it anyway you like.
