Peanut butter and jelly banana dog #Food#Recipes#cooking for one#great-ideas#megan-simple#snacks#vegan#vegetarian August 31 | Ariel Meadow Stallings offbeatariel Last week I found myself starving and low on groceries. In a moment of desperate MUST-NOM-NOW-ness, I created this monstrosity, the Peanut Butter & Jelly Banana Dog. The recipe here should be pretty self-explanatory: it's just a pb&j sandwich on a hot dog bun, with a banana nestled inside. I'm confident I'm not the first to have thought of this (…Google confirms!), but it'd simply never occurred to me to use a banana as a hot dog. This sandwich was delicious and filling and better yet: entertaining. Phallic food is awesome! PS: Pee-wee Herman approves. I cut the pattie in half, folded a piece of bread and put some mustard in there, and put the pattie halves inside. Turkey burger bread taco! Reply Ive done this with banana, peanut butter and nutella. mmm… nutella… 4 agree Reply Things I learned at Girl Scout Camp: when the campers eat all of the hot dogs, a dill pickle spear works rather well in a hot dog bun. 3 agree Reply omg face-palm awesomeness.. as a faithful banana eater, i can't believe this thought has never occurred to me Reply PeeWee Herman tweeted this!
