Last week I found myself starving and low on groceries. In a moment of desperate MUST-NOM-NOW-ness, I created this monstrosity, the Peanut Butter & Jelly Banana Dog. The recipe here should be pretty self-explanatory: it’s just a pb&j sandwich on a hot dog bun, with a banana nestled inside. I’m confident I’m not the first to have thought of this (…Google confirms!), but it’d simply never occurred to me to use a banana as a hot dog. This sandwich was delicious and filling and better yet: entertaining. Phallic food is awesome!

This is a fun idea! One time we had leftover turkey burger patties, but were out of buns. I cut the pattie in half, folded a piece of bread and put some mustard in there, and put the pattie halves inside. Turkey burger bread taco!
Ive done this with banana, peanut butter and nutella. mmm… nutella…
Things I learned at Girl Scout Camp: when the campers eat all of the hot dogs, a dill pickle spear works rather well in a hot dog bun.
omg face-palm awesomeness.. as a faithful banana eater, i can’t believe this thought has never occurred to me
