If you’re like me, you might be living in a small apartment. It seems to be a big trend since a lot of us aren’t in a position to buy a big ol’ house. But fear not! Small space living solutions are, ironically, HUGE right now.
I decided to go hunting for some ultra useful furniture for small apartments to help you save room in your small space. I’m talking storage solutions on walls, desks, tables, and beds that fold and become multi-use when you need it, and tiny decor items that take up no extra room (because you still want the place to look fun!).
Whether you’re a cubicle warrior or it’s work-from-home life, your office needs to be a place you can make work for you. From organization tools to cpmfy and chic chairs to an awesome mug, investing in your workspace is never a bad idea. It’s time to channel Pam and Jim for that Office goodness (keep an eye out for the sign reference later!).
Here’s a big ol’ list of office organization items to up your office game…
This is my first time working primarily from home and I am loving the flexibility. But I HATE working at a desk! I love working on couches, but I can’t leave my stuff all over the living room all the time. Do you have any advice for alternative office furniture that will allow me to spread both my work and myself out without killing my productivity or sleep?
While walking home from brunch, my friend Drew (of wheat allergy questions fame) and I stumbled upon a nursery that I’ve always wanted to explore. So we took a detour and started wandering amongst the funky plants and trees for sale. Then we stumbled upon the coolest desk I’ve ever seen…
OMG y’all! Look who popped her awesome head back into Offbeat Home & Life to share some of her old school offbeat home goodness — it’s Cat Rocketship! She’s giving us the low down on floor desks.
Homies, I need help. I have the ugliest desk imaginable. What I can’t figure out is… how it made it’s way into my house. It was here when I moved in, and even without the unscrewable legs, we can’t take it out any of our doors.I need to paint it, style it, anything — but I have to be able to do it inside. Can you homies help me transform this ugly desk?
Are you at a desk for six hours or more a day? Have you been concerned by the research pointing to serious health effects of sitting all day, recently confirmed again? I work at the computer much of the day, have back trouble, and don’t get enough exercise as it is. So, inspired by reading Offbeat Home’s post on an easy DIY standing desk, I took to the info highway and assessed my existing materials to design a standing desk!
