I’m not a musical buff, so I didn’t know anything about Sweeney Todd until I saw the Tim Burton-directed film from 2007. I quickly fell rapturously in love, which is a little strange considering I’m not really a fan of violence, bloodshed, or gore. I’ve always wanted to do a Sweeney-themed photo session, but starring myself — it’s never occurred to me that KIDS would be even more awesome.
LUCKILY it occurred to Brittany with Locked Illusions Photography, because these photos are, to put it mildly, the coolest photos of kids I’ve seen in a long time:

That is one of the most awesome photo shoots ever!!!!
I had a fun time drafting the patterns and making teh costumes for this shoot with Locked Illusions. I was thrilled with how cute they turned out but it wasn’t till I saw the photos that I truly enjoyed the magic of collaborating with Brittany. She takes amazing photos! <3
Amazing photos! That part of the film was one of my favorites. Stephanie, if you’re into the movie, please please listen ot or watch the original cast (with Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Lovett). Sweeney Todd has been my favorite musical since I was a kid, and I don’t like gore or horror stuff either. The film was a great adaptation, but they had to leave certain parts and songs out because the cast wasn’t necessarily equipped to sing those very operatic parts (except for Sasha Baron Cohen who surprised the hell out of me). It’s a wonderful show!
Here’s a link to the PBS special from 1981 with most of the original cast. You’ll be happy you watched it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LAFGRlfMqQ&feature=related
