What time is it? It’s fucking MARBLE TIME. Yes, I know it’s a massive trend at the moment, but I am riding this trend train to Marble Town and loving every minute of it.
My bedside table has a marble top, my bathroom features a bunch of marbleized accessories plus a countertop. I’m into it. So let’s just embrace this trend together and share some of our favorite ways to get that marble look into your homes and on your bodies!
Yes, for all my love of quirky, bright home decor, I LOVE me some stripped down, soothing marble in my life and in my home. What about you? Who else has embraced this trend?
I have this one too (mortar and pestle). It’s small and perfect for grinding peppercorns, nuts or raw spices. http://www.surlatable.com/product/PRO-535518/?affsrcid=AFF0005&utm_term=67879248974_product_type_cooking_tools&adpos=1o1&creative=45091875941&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=CN3moNC-t88CFY42gQodpC4Hyg
Oh that’s sexxxxxxxy.
I got one at Target literally just this week for like $12. I love it.
I had no idea this was a trend. But I’ve always loved the marble-top coffee table that my dad picked up for a song several decades ago. Now it lives in my house, since my mom never liked it.
WHAT!? You scored a free marble top coffee table. Nice. I’m in the market for one riiiiight now. Thinking about getting this bad boy… http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/home-furniture/37561354.jsp?color=020#
Now that I look at that gorgeous table from Anthropologie, I realize I actually have a marble-topped side table. It’s a lovely solid thing, dark wood topped with white marble.
I’m very lucky, in that almost all of the furniture I own was given to me by various relatives and friends. (Now that I’m mentally cataloguing this, it’s really remarkable and I’m incredibly fortunate.)
Of course, getting to shop for furniture and plan where it will go has its charms, too!
when we redo the kitchen counters sometime down the line, i’m going to push either for marble or soapstone countertops, because YES. give them to meeeeeee
