Over on Offbeat Bride our DIY editor Liz has got a great post on how to make a gift bag out of a map. Of course, if you don’t have access to maps, you can use the same tutorial with newspaper, calendars, magazine pages, recycled wrapping paper, coloring book pages — whatever suits your fancy.

This tutorial is a great way to recycle something old into something new, AND guarantee you’ll never have to buy gift bags again!

  1. I used to work for AAA, so we always had old maps around. My loved ones have received many a gift wrapped in AAA maps, but I never thought of making bags out of them. I’m going to try this immediately.
