Avoid gift-giving stress by creating a virtual gift drawer

When I was a kid my mother had a “gift drawer” — a cabinet in our house that she kept a as a catch-all for gifts. Whether she needed a present for one of my friend’s birthday parties, a hostess gifts, or something to bribe us kids into being good on long road trips or frightening doctor visits, that gift drawer was at the ready. As an apartment-dwelling adult, I don’t have room for a gift drawer, so I have my gift drawer hack: a virtual gift drawer!

Make a holiday wreath out of a ceiling medallion

I’ve seen ceiling medallions used as wall art before, but this is my first notice of them being used as wreath alternatives. Of course you could make easy ceiling medallion wreaths for ANY of the upcoming holidays. But I’m definitely a big fan of this dark Halloween version.

How Megan attempted to win a pumpkin carving contest with the pumpkin keg

Did y’all catch that DIY pumpkin keg video that went viral? The moment I saw it I thought, “now THERE’S a Megan-simple pumpkin carving project!” Much like my cooking skills, my crafting skills are, well, let’s just say sub-par. I was invited to my friends 5th annual Halloween pumpkin carving contest and I accepted with the express intent of trying my hand at the pumpkin keg. The video makes it seem so simple, spoiler alert: it wasn’t!
