Composting with a PVC worm tube

I was sitting out on the deck one day and noticed my neighbor, Erin, bringing food scraps to a long pipe in her backyard. I knew it had to be composting, but I hadn’t seen it done in a tube before. Erin is a college student majoring in Environmental Studies so I knew she’d have awesome insight into composting, so I picked her brain for the infos.

CARBANA: How to turn your carport into a private cabana

Get your cute baby bird fix with a glass bird house

I got a mini high the other day from spotting a birds nest complete with adorable baby birds chirping for food. Great idea of the day: Use bottles and jars to organize your necklaces

I know your always looking for new and efficient ways to store your jewelry. We’ve featured a lot of jewelry displays, but what if you don’t want to keep all of your jewelry out, hanging up, etc. This great idea comes from Becky who uses bottles to separate and organize her necklaces.

Old collections: basement fodder or cool display?

I have a lot of Speech and Debate trophies from high school. They fill up a few big plastic tubs in my parents’ basement. They mean a lot to my nerd self and every year or so my folks ask if they can finally toss them out. Every year I just can’t bring myself to do it. What do you do with collections with which you can’t bear to part?
