Thanks to a blog called Super Punch, a few weeks ago I stumbled across the adorably creepy art from Cuddly Rigor Mortis, by artist Kristin Tercek. The above print (called “L’amour Or Less”) is now hanging to the right of our stove, its cock-eyed little lovers tempting me with their delicious-looking little heads.
Cuddly Rigor Mortis’ online shop is filled with adorably off-kilter food-related prints that feel like the perfect pop-art for kitchens…
While you can get prints to tack up or frame, I’m especially fond of their mounted print options. Why mess with a frame when you can just hang these little plaques up?
If you’re with me on loving the creepy/cute crossover look, then get thee to Cuddly Rigor Mortis!
Baaaahhh so cute!!!!
i like inspector bosc. perhaps i should get him in honor of my new pear tree. of maybe i should wait to see if i can manage to keep it alive ’till fruiting…i don’t want the art to be a sad reminder of a dead fruit tree =)
Damn you Ariel! I did not need another artist to adore. *mutters and goes off to make a new wishlist*
I love Kristin Tercek! We have “L’amour Or Less” hanging in our downstairs bathroom! <3
LOVE!!!
I like it! It is bizarre but it sort of has the same sense of whimsy as my favorite art that I’ve been collecting for years. http://www.randalspangler.com/onlinegallery/categorycoffee.htm
I love Cuddly Rigor Mortis! The prints are great quality and quite reasonably priced; she offers sales from time to time, too, making it even better!
Oh! I’ve wanted L’Amour or Less for ages!!
UGH, CUDDLY RIGOR MORTIS. Does anyone remember how great the plushes she used to make were? They were SO GOOD. Her paintings are EVEN BETTER. Thanks for promoting her!
That’s fantastic! I love Inspector Bosc 🙂
