Use chopstick sleeves to make place holders for dinner parties

Offbeat Bride has a great idea up right now: using chopstick sleeves to make place cards for dinner parties.

We wanted a place card that would be pretty, tie our various themes together (travel, Chinese food), and actually be useful, cheap, and simple to make. So, we decided to make dressy paper sleeves to hold chopsticks and to double as the place cards, which seemed appropriate for a Chinese-food wedding dinner.

Yes! Smart! Now I’m kind of thinking about a Chinese food dinner party…

Go learn how to make ’em.

  1. this may just be me, but i read OBB and OBH every day, and i don’t really like it when the same thing is on both sites in one day.

    • Ariel has mentioned that she’ll be doing a survey later in the fall to determine how many people read both or just one/the other. I, for instance, read OffbeatBride and OffbeatHome, but I don’t really look at OffbeatMama so much. So crossposts from there are really helpful for me. And I can see how someone who isn’t into weddings but is a follower of Mama and Home would appreciate Bride crossposts like this.
