I got this email from one of our patrons, Ming…
Aside from his kick-ass fireplace bed, our dog Ari has, I kid you not, four other beds scattered throughout the house, not including the rugs in front of the doors and the carpets in the dining room and great room. But I still want these dog beds…
I know he would chew the legs and the anchors off of these beds. But they are so cute!
I remember the shopping post a long, long time ago about chic dog beds. What about a shopping post request for adorable pet beds?
You want it, you got it! Here are some adorable dog beds that I found on the interwebs…
Which adorable pet bed has stolen your heart?
OMG, the strawberry beds! My cat has a bed shaped like that, and he lives in it during the winter.
Oh man, the cedar log bed and the cotton house are AWESOME (okay they all are but those might be my faves). Actually wait, the first one is my favourite. So freaking cute!
I also really like the super duper fancy ones I see at Winners/Homesense sometimes – like, tiny faux leather couches. It’s so ridiculous and over the top and oh how I want one… I’m always sad that all the cool beds seem to be for smaller dogs though! My pup isn’t a huge dog but she’s definitely well into the medium-to-large size range.
It makes me miss my ferrets – you wouldn’t believe the hilarious, adorable stuff you can buy for them. Mine had a pirate ship bed. Yeah, A PIRATE SHIP.
I have a rather large dog, and I’m always a bit disappointed about the cute dog beds being smallish as well.
It doesn’t stop the dog though – he’s ‘adopted’ a bed (actually a very flat pillow) that’s about 18 inches square. Watching him trying to fit his 85lb self on to it is endlessly amusing.
Naww. I also miss my lovable ferrets and their wacky accessories. Ours had a monkey hammock that they climbed in its mouth and slept in its belly. Every morning we got the joy of watching groggy, half asleep ferrets get regurgitated by a monkey.
Groggy, half-asleep ferrets are adorable enough all on their own but the mental image of seeing them crawling out of the monkey bed…I’m dying from the cute.
I have the Martha Stewart boat bed for my dog. She loves it, but my friends’ visiting dogs will swing it around by the anchor 🙁
Your dog must be like mine- a gentle soul who uses toys as pillows (you know, when she’s not barking), so I bet she would like that bed too. I definitely know more rambunctious dogs who would also want to play with it!
I’ve got one of each, and poor gentle dog never gets to have stuffies because the other one will just steal them and tear them apart. It’s kinda heartbreaking. He doesn’t really seem to care, though.
I’ve had really good luck with these Chew TUFF. I have the same combo of dogs, and of course I have to watch my tougher dog a bit, but even when he’s stolen them away (and he has!) they seem to really take a beating. Plus they have lots of sizes and cute creatures, AND you can even sometimes find them at target.
I so desperately wish my dog would not eat all of these beds. I know him, though. None of these fantastic beds would last longer than a day in my house. I would kill to be able to buy that shark bed without fear of imminent destruction.
Exactly. We bought the puppy a memory foam “durable” dog bed after he shredding the first, stuffed one (why do they make the stuffing a horrible green color?) The biggest lesson I learned was that memory foam comes out pretty easy when ingested.
Hey, I’m not sure if this was intentional, I just got a pop up-ish prompt for a survey on this page. I would love to fill out a survey for OBH, but was suspicious of this one. I’ll clear my cookies/cache and hopefully it was just a bad egg somewhere in my computer. Or if it is a survey for the OBH, Link me to it! 😀 I just wanted to comment in case it was a bad ad coming through, or sumfin.
I’ve seen that survey pop up prompt as well. I’ve seen it several times on different posts and I’m assuming it is an ad of some kind.
Hey, guys. I got a report about this survey ad over thing over here, too. As I said over there:
This sounds like a third-party ad gone rogue. Can you email me directly so that we can troubleshoot? Bonus points for screenshots and URLs that the ad is pointing to. That’ll help me when I contact Federated Media and/or Google AdSense to request ad removal.

Will do, next time i see it. 🙂 I must have missed the first post! >.<

Oh if only my doggie liked doggie beds. She doesn’t like to be on the floor when sleeping/laying down, so she refuses dog beds. She straight up will not even touch it. I won a GIANT purple plushy ottoman type thing at a fundraiser and brought it home wondering what on earth I was going to do with it. Turns out my pup is totally in love with it. It’s the same height as my other furniture, so she probably thinks it’s her own personal sofa, but hey, if it works!
I want that banana bed in MY size! It looks so cozy – like being wrapped in a beanbag.
I am also in the “I have more beds then my pets could ever hope to use at one time” category (4 cats, 10 cat beds), but every time I see that shark bed, I want to buy it so badly! (I tried one time, my husband said quite sternly, “You CANNOT buy another cat bed!”)
I love them all, especially the owl one! Our pup has a simple bed that she loves. It lives in her crate. All she wants to do in the evening is lay in her crate and lick the bed until it’s soaking wet.
She also has a magical(!) blanket. The rule in our house is she can only get on the furniture if she’s on this specific blanket. So the blanket means great things. When we lay it over the sofa, she gets to jump on the sofa with us and hang out.
I love the magical blanket idea! What a great way to set a clear understanding for your pup about when it’s okay to be on the furniture vs when it’s not.
We found an old wooden 70’s
Tv in a junk shop for 20$ And took the guts out. Our dog loves it and surprisingly so do our neighbors!
