So, if there is a little girl in your life, you may have noticed that they are not too terribly bothered about modesty when wearing dresses and skirts. That’s all fine and dandy of course — no shame issues need apply!
However, for many reasons, and especially at recess, Bloomers like this adorable pair from littlemave are a great solution.
These are perfect for the girl who likes dresses but still wants to hang upside down on the monkey bars or do cartwheels, or for the girl who thinks tights are itchy. These bloomers could make cute pants, too!
heck yeah Hunny! I also found a really cute pattern for a pair over on Knitty.com. http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer03/PATTjane.html There are lots of pix over on the pattern page of Ravelry.com as well http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/jane-of-t…
Do you remember Friday flip-up day? Where the boys would flip up the skirt or dress of any girl foolish enough to wear one on a Friday?
Heck, I wish these came in womens size 14.
These are so cute. I wish i had a little girl again. lol
My grammie used to make me matching bloomers to go under my dresses and I always loved them. I think bloomers are great! I especially liked them when riding my bike.
So cute
One of my best friends got married this past Saturday, with ruffled bloomers peeking out from under her asymetrically hemmed dress. Bloomers rock!
I totally sported the ruffled bloomers under my 50s rockabilly-style wedding dress 🙂 Love me some bloomers!
Thank you for the lovely post!
I really want a me-sized pair of these. No fair!
Bloomers definitely come in adult sizes! Give it a Google, I’m sure you’ll find some in your size/style!
