Make perfectly-sized mini burger patties and keep your hands clean

This is my kitchen DUH! moment. Instead of getting my hands dirty trying to form the perfect mini burger, I could use tools in my kitchen to do the work for me!

Step 1: Scoop the beef into the measuring cup.

Step 2: Smush the beef down with the back of a spoon to level it off.

Step 3: Turn measuring cup over spatula. Tap cup until patty comes out.

Step 4: Tada! Perfect sized mini burger!

Step 5: Mini burgers in the pan, ready to be enjoyed!

  1. I use one of my measuring spoons to make nice small meat balls. Still have to do some shaping by hand but it's only with 1 hand so it's nicer than the way I used to try.

  2. So simple, yet genius. I used this tip to make burgers for my husband the other day. I don't think I can ever go back to handmaking them ever again.
