Ok, so since we’re talking about princess phases … clearly, I’m still stuck in mine. This is one of those outfits that makes me regress a little. The zebra-print ribbon? The skull applique? The ridiculousness of the tulle?
So, until I find out if my unborn son likes tutus, trucks, or both at the same time, I have to ask: this pirate skull tutu — can it be made in maternity sizes? PLEASE!?
Yes, it can be! I've made one with just the hot pink/black (pictured here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/11353708@N08/3748266… ). Email me with your waist size, I don't know about the skull applique, though, unless I can find where they bought that one.
How long would it take, Magen? Do I smell a maternity photoshoot coming on? I've only got 10 weeks left. 🙂
I was able to make it in a weekend.
If you shoot me (this is Magen, just created an account) an email with your waist size and how long you want it, I could easily make you one in a weekend. Also, I'm in the same area so you wouldn't have to worry about shipping.
I LOVE it! Tulle aside, I could tolerate my little girl being this kinda princess/ballerina!
WRO
I need this!
I made my daughter and I BOTH tutu fairy dresses. I'll send pix.
Totally easy to DIY. I made one myself for a witchy Spring Ball.

That's a very good tutorial. I did the same thing, except used ribbon instead of elastic because I thought the silver complimented the black/hot pink and it's easier to adjust that way as well.
I have a friend who would LOVE this! I may make it for her for christmas!
