OH. MY. GOD.
I’m not sure why the universe is sending us so many Star Wars and baby related rooms and announcements , but wow. THANK YOU, universe.
Lindsey sent me a link to this ATAT bed last night, most likely because she is well aware of the ridiculous degree to which Sean and I love Star Wars. In fact, she is so acutely aware of this because her boyfriend is also a gigantic Star Wars nerd. If we were all in the same room together, the room would explode. Much like the Death Star explodes at the end of Return of the Jedi.
This bed is basically the most inspired piece of furniture that I’ve yet to encounter in my time as a human being. PLUS, did you notice that it’s BUNK beds? Best sleepover host EVER.
See more images at Gizmodo.
Our son (in utero name was Lando) will be inundated with Star Wars fandom from the word go. We are going to the Star Wars Celebration in August with him (he’ll be 6months and dressed as Obi Wan.)
This plus the ATAT stroller are some of the coolest things ever. Of course, we have a Millenium Falcon hung from the ceiling pointing at the crib.
Thanks for sharing all these awesome, nerdy rooms!

Aaaahahahaha – I am going to tell Ben that his nerd-dom has reached such levels that people he doesn’t even know are talking about it on the internet now! 😀
Oh. My. God.
THAT IS THE SINGLE MOST COOLEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.
I want one now… not for my child to be… but for me!!!
What is this bunk bed?
a) win
b) win
c) EPIC WIN
d) Awesome and I want one.
The answer is ALL OF THESE.
Did someone make this or was it purchased?
I made it. I finished it last february. I’m considering selling a few more. I need to work out the details with Lucas legal. I’m not sure how it will work but I’d like to make more. A friend of mine spotted it on this site and I thought I would check it out for myself.
I also want one. For me lol. That is ridiculously awesome 😀
Went to the original site – did you happen to notice that it was a TRI-level bunk bed?!? My 8 year old did! 🙂
Here is where I first posted it. http://gizmodo.com/5537630/crazy-diy-project-three+level-imperial-walker-bunk-bed
