If you’re like me, you might be living in a small apartment. It seems to be a big trend since a lot of us aren’t in a position to buy a big ol’ house. But fear not! Small space living solutions are, ironically, HUGE right now. It seems like you can’t visit an online furniture store without seeing “small space furniture” as a trend.
I decided to go hunting for some ultra useful furniture for small apartments to help you save room in your small space. I’m talking storage solutions on walls, desks, tables, and beds that fold and become multi-use when you need it, and tiny decor items that take up no extra room (because you still want the place to look fun!).
Let’s go small space shopping!
Space-saving tables & desks
And since we’re all eating in front of the TV anyway…
Door & wall storage
Multi-use furniture
Small space decor
And the VIP when it comes to porting around extra stuff: portable carts! House your bar stuff, crafting shit, baby items, or whatever in these versatile bad boys…
Portable rolling carts

Some truly cool ideas here, Catherine – we love seeing the clever ways people come up with to maximise small spaces; this is especially important if they are communal/shared ones (family or housemates)! When it comes to storage we like to make use of wall space wherever possible – floating shelves are generally easy to put up and they add a place for knick-knacks without taking up valuable floor footprint in small rooms – classics like Ikea’s Lack range won’t break the bank, either.
I think sofa bed will really help to save a lot of space for small apartments.
Hello Catherine, thanks for sharing these helpful ideas. Especially I like your ideas related to Walnut Floating Desk, Takara Column Wood Shelf and rolling carts. It really saves the room space if you have to manage with few pieces of goods. But if you have to deal with big sizes goods such as your home furniture (sofas, chairs, cabinets, tables, dining sets) then you need to hire a storage unit.
