I found Izola’s Apothecary Pattern shower curtain and thought THIS would be a great start to a vintage-style apothecary-themed bathroom.
If you’re in love with the apothecary aesthetic, you may want to think about turning your bathroom into a vintage pharmacist’s dream with these products…
You could turn some lab coats into bath robes to hang on the door too.
This post reminded me that the J.R. Watkins lemon lotion smells so good, it’s eat-your-own-hand delicious. Must buy more!
As soon as we move into our new place, this is going to be our bathroom! Except maybe the $160 jars, everything else is totally reasonable!
Yeah, that jar collection was pretty pricey. But then I figured, for the right Homie who’d been SEARCHING for something just like that… this’ll be worth highlighting.
Oh I love it!
I need that shower curtain and that soap dish and that toothbrush holder and that trash bucket. I NEED them. I’m already doing an apothecary theme in my bathroom, and they will just make it extra nifty.
I was just looking for apothecary decorations too!!
If I had that bath mat I would leave a jar out with with a couple of nickles in it. Damn. Now I want that bath mat so I can do that.
Oh man… I’m a pharmacist, and I think this would be SO COOL!
LOL! I’m cringing at that bathroom.
Backstory: I’m a barber, and the shop I work at was established in 1930. We still use a lot of equipment that is original to the shop, plus a lot of “new” antiques. People LOVE to give me old razors, hones and strops, bottles or aftershave or tonic, barber poles and other accouterments as gifts for my home. I always smile and say “Geeze, how neat. Thanks” But I HATE being reminded of work when I’m at home.
For anyone looking to do apothecary jars a little cheaper: take various glass jars from your kitchen, punch a screw-sized hole in the top and add a drawer pull. Spray paint the color of your choosing and: voila! Apothecary jars.
Ermahgerd, if ANYONE attempts to do this you MUST submit a how-to!
I just found this post, and promptly ordered the shower curtain! Very excited about this upgrade (and the chance to bring my love for the history of medicine into home decor; it’ll match the piles of books everywhere.)
