Can we talk about how I just found slatwall boards that fit together to form a mural!?
We talked about using slatwalls to hold your NERF collection, and we talked about how they’re useful to store things in small spaces. But these are doubly-useful for storing things in small spaces as they can give you the trompe l’oeil effect — creating a feel of a window looking out on a pretty view.
So far it looks like these $60 kits come in beach or mountain view, with six boards, six hooks, and the assembly hardware.
I love the idea of using this in rooms that need storage but may not have windows — walk-in closets, laundry rooms, kitchens, garages. Where would you use these to bring in a little happy-time view without sacrificing storage space?
I wonder if they’ll get into the business of printing a photo you send in onto the slats… That would be great! I have an awesome picture of the Washington DC skyline at night that would be great for this!
That would rock my world so hard.
Holy crap that is really cool! And seriously if they would do this with your own photo’s even at like $100 it would be shut up and take my money! I might save up for that mountain view to go above my bed though…..yea I have to save for a $60 thing….I feel pathetic.
I could see this working for a startup business too. Maybe a photographer’s studio, to hang and organize the sample portfolios?
