How long is an old tenant’s mail my responsibility?
The girl who lived here before was here for five years of grad school, so naturally she still gets a lot of mail. I don’t think either of us have the time to get together every week just to hand off a few postcards. So what I want to know is, at what point do I give up on reuniting a former tenant with her lost mail?
How can I help my cat settle in after our move?
My fiance and I have moved to a new apartment with our two cats. While one of our cats seems to have taken to it nicely, quickly finding his “spots” and settling in, the younger of the two, Tony, does not seem to be doing as well. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions to helping pets relax after a move, specifically when there are large changes to the amount of people around? Has anyone else found something similar after moving their pets? Thanks in advance for your help!
I need help finding the perfect room divider!
ight now, my search is for an affordable divider for a bachelor pad where the only window is a glass balcony door to quite a deep room. I need a divider that allows privacy, as well as let light in, while being affordable. I’m desperately searching for solutions/ideas that meet those criteria and right now am tearing my hair out! Help?!
Old collections: basement fodder or cool display?
I have a lot of Speech and Debate trophies from high school. They fill up a few big plastic tubs in my parents’ basement. They mean a lot to my nerd self and every year or so my folks ask if they can finally toss them out. Every year I just can’t bring myself to do it. What do you do with collections with which you can’t bear to part?

We live above the freeway: how can we cultivate quiet?
My husband and I are about to apply for an apartment. It’s almost perfect! Except for the interstate being a stone’s throw from the balcony. Are there any non-damaging but permanent ways to help keep our apartment relatively quiet and calm?
This ain’t your mother’s china pattern: Where can we find offbeat china?
I got married about a month ago and ever since, my mom has been insistent on buying us china. But my husband and I can’t agree on what type. I want something nice and elegant while my husband (who is a chef) wants something modern and not traditionally shaped (so anything but circles).
I really don’t mind so long as we find something nice, but all the modern plates I find are a bit boring. Do you know of some companies that have offbeat china sets?
Awesome decorative dog kennels and stylish pet beds
My husband and I have two rather large (a pit bull and a bull terrier) and rather old dogs. How on earth do I give the dogs their “comfy spots” without making it look like the living room revolves around pets, not people?
