How do I keep clutter from expanding and filling my new space!?
We’re about to move into a two bedroom apartment with a den. While I am ecstatic about having a little more room — like actually having a living room — with so much more space than we currently have I am worried about it easily becoming cluttered just to fill the space. Do you have any recommendations for how to deal with an increase in square footage while ensuring it is used intentionally?
Use water to kill weeds
Ariel had her “baskets!” moment when it comes to using bath water to water her plants. But did you know that water could also be used to kill plants? Offbeat Homie Mel dropped some knowledge on us.
Surfboards do more than just float: how to use surfboards as home decor
I love this surfboard fence on Maui. Every time I drive by it, it makes me smile. It made me wonder… what other awesome things can surfboards do at home that would make me smile? Fences, showers, coat racks… Here are some awesome ways to repurpose your unused or broken surfboards. Can y’all think of any other ways?

I’m always looking for photo ideas for displaying my photographs and this wall clock is a quick and easy way to display your work. It’s also a great way to show off your wedding, baby, birthday or Christmas photos without forcing your friends and family to watch 37 slide shows on your laptop.
Line dry your clothes indoors and in small spaces
Transform even tight spaces into your indoor home line-drying laundry system using Einspine’s Drawing Line. This system by designer Russ Hornstein is currently on sale for $12 over on Uncommon Goods, but it could totally be recreated on your own by collecting everything you need to make this yourself.
Making your own seat cushions? Make sure to add a matching footstool!
This photo, that I found nestled in an Airbnb listing for a funky cabin in Idyllwild, CA, gave me some inspiration for pimping out your deck chairs — matching puffy foot stools!
How should we decorate these very tall walls?
The husband and I just bought a big house in semi-suburbs. It’s pretty bland right now (beige walls + beige tile floors = snooze) and while we’ve got plenty of ideas for making it the colorful, funky home that we want, I’m at a loss for what to do with the immense two story walls in the living room.
We’ll definitely paint them, but then what? I feel like they are calling out for something special. Anyone have any awesome decorating ideas for very tall walls?

Weapons, secret drawers, sewage vents in the ceiling, and a 6″ deep players dungeon!? Yeah, this Medieval-themed gaming room is out of a Dungeons & Dragons fever dream and must be seen to be believed!
