This one-year anniversary shoot proves that it's never too late to snag stunning photos

This one-year anniversary shoot proves that it’s always worth snagging stunning photos

Whether you hated your wedding photos, didn’t have a wedding, want to celebrate a milestone, or just want to capture how awesome you’ve been looking lately, a couple’s photo shoot is always a good idea. You don’t need to have had a child or gotten engaged or married to snag yourself from frameable shots. This is exactly what Ashley and Nick did at their plaid-covered one-year anniversary shoot.

Try not to be empowered by this stunning boudoir session

Just try not to be empowered by this stunning 60th birthday boudoir session

Mrs. MC wanted to do a 60th birthday boudoir session to celebrate the beginning of another decade and to give her husband of six years an exciting anniversary gift. And she surely wowed him as much as she wowed us. This session is classy, striking, timeless, and hot. Girl looks seriously GOOD.

The best combined birthday and holiday/anniversary gifts

In 2007 that guy I married was attacked by a tiger shark and survived! So every year, on the date of said attack, we throw Aaron a “Shark Attackiversary” party. It’s much like a birthday party, except we celebrate the day Aaron didn’t die instead of the day he was born. Since then I’ve really fallen in love with the idea of throwing a party that celebrates a traumatic life experience that you’ve overcome.

Throw this party: LumberJack and Jill anniversary party!

We decided there was no better way to honor our parents’ 30th anniversary than to surprise them with their own theme party tying together everything they loved. I’d seen the Lumberjack idea used for a wedding shower and immediately knew it was perfect for them, including buffalo plaid bunting, make your own facial hair station, and a tree cake being cut with an ax!

Our “shit happens!” anniversary staycation

As our one year wedding anniversary drew closer it became apparent we had…no money. So we had to do the tried-and-true: staycation. Maybe because it was our first anniversary as married humans or because I can be a sour puss, but Mike, with his ultimate optimism when it comes to us, reassured me it would be fun.
