As a photographer, I tend to gravitate towards other photographers and artists who aren't afraid to be real — why put up a posed photo of yourself when you could put up a smiley one instead? It's more than obvious that Tricia applies this same approach to her photography — while you get standard family and child shots with each session, you also get to see Tricia's eye at work. Her newborn photography is particularly blissful and sweet — just look that this: All photos by Tricia LaPonte Photography. Says Tricia: "One of the most exciting times in your life will be the birth of your child, and you should want to capture every beautiful moment of it. Lots of traditional newborn photography is unnatural, with infants scrunched into positions that seem awkward and mommy sometimes even absent from the photos — my style is natural and real, with you holding your baby and sharing in the time and fun." Tricia LaPonte works entirely on-location, which makes it much easier for you — you can shoot anywhere you can think of and can get to in a reasonable amount of time. If you're fancying a seaside photo session for your kiddo, you can have it — or you can also stay home and have Tricia come over to shoot your normal routine. This is especially beneficial to parents of newborns — it can be quite a trip attempting to get a newborn out of the house and to a studio while keeping him or her in a relatively good mood until the photos are over. Tricia's clients also love her: I loved working with Tricia! She photographed my son's christening day and we never would've gotten to relive the day like we did through her photos. She captured both moments that we will cherish, and portraits of family and friends. Having her at the event allowed me to just focus on my son without worrying about having a camera. She was right on point and always there to snap a pic even before I asked. Thanks for being a part of our day Tricia! — Jennifer You can see more shots from this newborn session at the Tricia LaPonte Photography blog.
