Hey hey! A new week dawns and as always we start with some unusual home finds from the Offbeat Home Flickr pool. I hope they make your week a little brighter.

Bitsandbobbins made this stellar rainbow table runner last week. Apparently the theme of her dining area is 'canary yellow and rainbow' to which I say ROCK ON!

I bought this house when I was 20 years old. I bought the home SEPARATE from the lot and I had it MOVED ACROSS TOWN. That was an experience in itself!

I worked and worked to gut and remodel it. I didn't know what I was doing and many things were done incorrectly. When I moved in, after 2 years of working, I didn't have trim or interior doors. My furniture was a cobbled mess of thrift store finds that I planned on SOMEDAY refinishing. And I was happy in my pile of a home!

BUT FIRST: I have a challenge…

I sorted and sorted through Flickr and found all these houses — SO MANY HOUSES — of a different color. And, surprisingly, so many really mean comments. I had to give these houses their time in the sun.

When we moved in, the bathroom walls were pure white. Now, they're pink, yellow, blue, and green — and they tell the world we're science nerds.
