Pushba’s son turns 1 with the most awesome birthday cake I’ve ever seen

Generally when you think of a kid’s birthday cake topper you probably imagine a number candle or some kind of toy the kid is into, right? Well… what about putting a baby on it?

DIY idea: make a mini biography for the baby in your life

The favorite little person in my life (not mine, but a friend’s) is turning one soon, and I really struggled with figuring out what to get a one-year-old. When it comes to gifting for people, I generally want my gift to be purposeful, pleasing, and personal.

A handmade rainbow-and-clover-themed birthday party for a one-year-old

What do you do when your kidlet is born on St. Patrick’s day? Throw a rainbow-and-clover themed party! Complete with a unicorn piñata that’s about to get its head whacked off.

Jackson’s mustache-themed cookies and milk third birthday party

Just when you think you’ve seen all of the cute things people can do with mustaches, something like this birthday party comes along and BOOM! You’re right back in it, in love with mustaches all over again.

A Very Hungry Caterpillar birthday party you can totally pull off

Oooh how I love the birthday party that Elle recently threw for her now one-year-old daughter, Penelope. The decor, food, and attire were inspired by Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and unlike a lot of birthdays you’ll see, this one is TOTALLY pull-offable. You basically need cardboard, yarn, paper streamers, and some fruit and you have a insta-caterpillar birthday success.

A Bob Dylan-themed birthday perfect for your little Tambourine Man(/Woman)

ALL PLANS FOR MY CHILD’S NEXT BIRTHDAY PARTY HAVE CHANGED. Ariel sent me an email with a link and text that read “Could this BE anymore up your alley?!!?” and I knew it had to be amazing. I jumped over to Super Punch and reveled in Holden’s Bob Dylan-themed birthday party by my new favorite designers, 2+.

Can you tell me how to get… to a Sesame Street-themed birthday party? (!!)

You guys may remember the Dr. Seuss-themed birthday party shot by Atlanta-based Uzbin Photograhy that we featured a few months ago — and today I’ve got yet another awesome looking kid fete for one-year-old Aya. Aya’s mother, Palwasha, planned a Sesame Street-themed event for her kidlet, and the photos are crazy adorable.

One super sweet monster/ugly doll/rainbow-themed kid’s birthday party

Eryn and Laurie recently shared photos from their daughter Izzie’s birthday that I am SO IN LOVE WITH. They’ve nicknamed their kiddo “Izzie Monster” and felt like a monster party would be the only way to really celebrate. Between the ball pit (kiddo pool + balls = instant kid fun) and coloring wall I think they most definitely did that.
