Okay, want to see more of the most subtly sexual wall art ever, along with some hilarious/kinky/awesome reviews with some wonderful ideas?

How does this sexy art kit work?

The Love is Art Premium Edition kit includes all of the materials you need to safely create an abstract painting while being intimate with the one you love. This special edition lets you and your lover choose from 3 vibrant color options to use on their specially treated non-allergenic black cotton canvas. Using the Love is Art kit is as easy as the moment striking to lovers.

How it works:

  1. Simply roll the plastic tarp out onto the floor and place the specially treated canvas on top.
  2. Pour the 4 oz of specially formulated paint onto the canvas.
  3. Use your bodies to move the paint around and across the canvas, creating a unique abstract image.
  4. After painting, throw on the disposable slippers and walk to the shower or bath to wash each other off.
  5. When your masterpiece is complete, the canvas is ready to be stretched.

There are special stretcher bars available on the site as well as a tutorial video where Brown demonstrates how to stretch the final painting. Or, you can take the canvas to your local art store and have it stretched onto a frame.

LOVE IS ART was founded by South African-born artist, Jeremy Brown. As an abstract artist, Brown has been making paintings during intimacy for over a decade, inspired by the 1960’s French artist Yves Klein and various performance art pieces by Andy Warhol. One day, a close friend complimented him on a painting that was hung inside his house. After discovering how the painting was made, she asked him to provide her with everything she needed to make a painting with her husband on their anniversary. Brown put together a small package with all of the materials needed and wrote a little directional note for them to follow. They absolutely loved it, and the idea was born.

Brown then spent over 6 months researching & developing the appropriate materials to ensure a safe project for couples everywhere to experience making art while making love. The kit now includes a specially-treated cotton canvas and all natural, non-toxic paint. Covering all bases, it also includes a painters tarp to protect surfaces from paint splatters, disposable slippers to make a clean walk from the canvas to the shower and even a body scrubber.

He packaged the kit under the name LOVE IS ART. According to Brown, “Art takes patience, dedication, practice, creativity, open mind, and an open heart…so does love. Love is art.”

The LOVE IS ART kit includes everything a couple needs to craft a one-of-a-kind abstract painting while being intimate with one another. What is left is a unique painting that represents that special moment. It can then be stretched, framed and hung on the wall – a lasting reminder of the love and passion that was shared. The kit also provides a unique bonding experience for the couples involved, as they work together as a team to craft their own unique masterpiece.

I gave this to my boyfriend in parts — first day the booties, next day the scrubby, next day plastic, next day the canvas, next day the paint — all with the labels taken off so he had no idea what it was. Then on his birthday, our two year anniversary, I gave him the directions…

We loved it we put the paint on in four different spots in the shape of hearts and it turned out amazing! I love it, best of all is when we have people over and they look at the painting and ask were it’s from and we look at each other and smile and say “garage sale” hahah its out inside joke that will never end… I love it! -sml1478

I bought this for our 15 year anniversary! It was the perfect gift. He wanted to skip dinner and make the art right when he opened it. The only thing I recommend is to warm the paint somehow… not sure what that means, but it was COLD! -UT
I bought this for my husband and I for our one year wedding anniversary. We had so much fun getting “dirty” and rolling around in the paint. It was even more fun to wash it off each other after we were finished. 😉 We both love all kinds of art, so this was really unique because we made our own piece together. We used the paint to make one giant heart on the canvas, and two small hearts on the sides. It turned out looking like one big abstract heart. We love it and can’t wait to hang it over our bed. I would reccomend showering immediately after and then cleaning your shower right away. -TurnthePaige

Comments on Make subtly sexy art with your partner

  1. Our bedroom art is all sexy – the ubiquitous Klimt “kiss”, a Japanese print of lovers blown up from a postcard bought at the Albert & Victoria museum, and the poster art from a 1920’s production of Twelfth Night that my husband directed. This would make a great addition!

  2. My roommates and I did this in college (minus the sex part). We got naked together and laid out huge sheets of butcher paper on our kitchen floor and made “paintings” to decorate our apartment. Fun and silliness.

Sounds even more fun this way.

  3. I got this exact kit for me and my future husband a year ago. We finally got around to actually making the painting last month. I have no idea why we waited so long to do it. It was so much fun. The paint dries pretty quickly and it took a quite a bit of time and a lot of scrubbing to get it off, but that was part of the fun. We were both in “O.M.G this better be the last of it” mode towards the end (mostly because we were running out of hot water). I didn’t scrub down the shower/tub for a few days after and it came off no problem.

I need an excuse to do this again! Maybe on our honeymoon or something?

  4. Amazing idea! LOOOOVE! I am an artist, and I hope the when we get married I can talk my honey into doing this with me! He may take a tiny bit of convincing… lol

  5. My wedding anniversary is coming up in… 3 weeks! This would be a great surprise gift. 😀
I also like the suggestions by Amazon for add-on items: fancy scented candle, and Crayola paints in other colors.
