I haven’t decided if most kids are afraid of the dark or if we as parents feel like a night-light will make the idea of being in their own room a little more stellar, but either way: I’m totally in. Night-lights are awesome. Let’s look at a few of my favorites!

Remember this awesome moon night-light? I’m still so smitten with the Uncle Milton Moon in my Room night-light!

This Mobi Tyke Light, Jr., made me giddy when I saw it. I mean… IT HAS ARMS! Little cute green light-up arms!

Since we’re big-time Seussians in this house-hold, I immediately fell super hard for the Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat Spin Shade Night Light. As you might have gleaned from the title, the shade actually spins around the entire time the light it is on.

I’m also infatuated with the Butterfly Optic Fiber Color Changing Night Light Show, especially the purple one. It’s perfect for any remotely nature-themed room, or a kid that just loves shiny, pretty things:

The Catch a Falling Star by David Delamare Porcelain Lithophane Night Light is intoxicatingly serene:

Other faves include: Hummingbird Nest – Mother and Chicks by Ibis & Orchid Night Light Flowers of Light Collection, AmerTac 75050VB Tin Star Night Light, Beaba Rechargeable Pixie Night Light and Lantern, Rubber Duck Night Light Ibis & Orchid Design, and the Cool Skateboards Decorative Night Light.

What night-lights have you guys put in your kiddo’s rooms?

    • We have this one for our sons, it drives me mad with how often I have to keep turning it on {my children NEVER go to bed within the 15 minute time allotted}, but they love it SO much, I really don’t mind.

I love that the light is mellow, it’s a pretty great night light. 🙂

    • We got our son the polar bear one like that… He loves that he can turn it on by just touching the top, I love that it is rechargeable so I can charge it during the day and leave it in their room at night without worrying about babies and cords.

    • We have the Twilight Turtle and love it! The constellations are great and it is such a nice addition to his room even during daytime.
It doesn’t give off a ton of light (and goes off after 45 minutes), so I too was considering pairing it with the Moon in my Room!

Thanks for that tidbit! Makes my decision easy. 🙂

  1. My husband hand painted a ceramic mountain and sun scene custom nightlight years ago. I found it in the basement when getting things ready for our daughter in 2009. It just fit perfectly with our not so baby-ish nursery theme.
