Stop tripping on your dog’s leash with a LIGHT UP LEASH OMG WUT

With the days getting shorter, it’s almost that time of year again when you trip your neighbors on your dog’s leash. Or maybe it’s that time of year when your dog takes off across the dog park and you’re like WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU, DOG? Either way, the Pup Crawl has this light-up six-foot leash, visible from one-quarter mile away in the dark, and can wrangle up to a 60 pound dog. Added bonus: $3 from every purchase goes toward an animal welfare nonprofit! Sounds like animal rescue groups Pup Crawls have taken place in California, Arizona, and Pennsylvania, raising tens of thousands of dollars for rescue dogs and animals. AWW! You can get one on Amazon.

    • I’ve never seeing the light lease before!
I recently started walking my Akita with a leash from Tripless Trainer. It has a hand loop and a short length that keeps him by my side. They were meant to be able to stay on dogs during training exercises but it has changed my walks with Kuma.

  1. Wow, this is one of those late night, druken after-party ideas that pans out to be the big million dollar thing, isn’t it? Because this is pretty amazing, and I’m sad I didn’t think of it first. I know what my nephew dogs are getting for Xmas…

  2. They do sell larger ones…I got some off of groupon for my mom (her dogs weigh 40lbs. and 55lbs.). They’re great for all that live places w/o street lights.

  3. Wal-Mart has a less-snazzy version of these. Harnesses, collars, and leashes in several colors. You can also change the patterns on the light which is pretty neat!

  4. It seems to be sold out at Amazon, which is too bad because I think it would be a good gift for my parents who often walk their dog on roads without street lights. I’ll check later to see if it is back in stock.

  5. Semi-related, but my DOG is so dark-colored I can’t see HIM at night! I got him a reflective collar but all that fur covers it up like it ain’t no thang. When we go camping I stick bells on him like he is a cat. A giant 90 pound cat.
