Comments on Key holders to put the “fun” in functional

  1. We have the Key Pete and it can hold my massive key ring (like twenty four keys between work, home, family, vehicles, etc). Only we never found a great place to put it near the door so he just turned into a regular ol’ magnet. We did get a bunch of hooks from IKEA (like 4 bucks for 4, I think?) and a stainless steel shelf from them for mail, sunglasses, etc. Not cute but industrial (my husband’s preferred style) and cheap. Works for us, though I wish it was cuter.

  2. Totally just bought the vampire bat one! Perfect timing…our new place has a bunch of gates, so we have lots of keys and I wasn’t finding any key holders I liked.

  3. I got one of those hanging wall mounted pot holders (the ornate sort with a ring to hold the pot that you screw to the wall) from the garden store. I removed the plant pot ring. Spray painted it bright orange and attached it to my bookshelf. Then into the little holes in the pattern I screwed hooks of all different sizes (also sprayed orange). Now we have a key/ sunglasses holder.
