Make a hanging garden of jam jars

Love it. Rope + soil + clean jars + succulents = hanging garden. So easy, so upcycle-y, so lovely. This would work super well with herbs, too, or small flowers like violets!

  1. Be careful with growing things in jars… there is no drainage and it is easy to get root-rot, just a heads up!

    • I've been growing houseplants in jars for years – just don't overwater them and you'll be good.

    • I've been trying to find a container small enough to fit mini succulents in to display in a tiny weird window. Baby food jars could be perfect.
