Perfect travel-friendly lamb and beef gyro burritos

These gyro burritos are the perfect take-along meal to bring with you when you are camping or hiking. You can make them ahead of time and store them in your cooler, or pack the ingredients separately and assemble them when you’re ready to eat.

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 6 Burritos

Ingredients:

  • Meat
    1/2 lb ground lamb
    1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • Tzatiki Sauce
  • 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup mayonaise
  • 1 tbsp dill
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Tortilla
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 onion diced

To make the meat:

  1. Mix a half pound of ground lamb and a half pound of ground beef.
  2. Add a tablespoon of garlic salt.
  3. Cook in a pan on medium heat until the meat is fully cooked.

To make the tzatiki sauce:

  1. Mix the sour cream, greek yogurt and mayo in a bowl.
  2. Add half a grated large cucumber, one clove of garlic and 1 1/2 tablespoon of dill and 1 tablespoon of garlic salt.

Then add the tzatiki and meat to a tortilla and garnish with your favorite toppings like onion, tomato and lettuce.
