Neatorama to make your home way more fun-orama
It started with this tentacle doorstop. It made the rounds on the interwebs a little while ago and of COURSE I flagged it for my Homies. But then I decided to explore what ELSE Neatorama had to offer for the Home. And I was pleasantly surprised.

I’m admittedly a little too scared about smashing my thumb when I’m using a hammer and nails. So I’m a lot excited about the ThumbSaver! It’s basically a long magnet that cradles the nail while you go to town on it with a hammer. Of course, if you happen to have a long magnet, that’ll do the same trick!
School-friendly closed toe slip-on shoes for toddlers and kids
You already know it’s back-to-school time in many parts of the world, but what you may NOT realize is that many schools (at least those in the Northern Hemisphere) have a closed-toe shoe policy firmly in place. Rather than argue if this makes sense or not (I admit I don’t completely understand the reasons behind the policies — safety? Nail polish?), it’s way more fun to cruise the internet for sparkly and/or brightly-colored closed-toe slip-on shoes like these red wool shoes by the folks at TOMS ($29).

After a Twitter exchange with Homie iLiveinmylab about whether or not I had seen the newest French Bull kitchen knife, I got to thinking… What OTHER amazing and brightly colored housewares does French Bull have to offer? The answer was stunning as it was downright colorful to the point of hurting my eyeballs.
I need help finding fun, colorful, but shorter-than-average bar stools
I have spent the last week researching fun, colorful bar stools with backs that should be about 26″ tall, but I haven’t found one yet! 26″ would be the ideal height to be able to fit our legs under the table, but most bar stools are taller. Do you have any ideas or awesome finds to share?

Great idea of the day: Back-to-school preparedness kit
It’s time to go back to school whether you scholarly folk like it or not. Do you know someone who’s in the “like it not” category? I like the idea of putting together a back-to-school gift bag full of sometimes useful/sometimes silly products to ease the pain of the first school bell. What would you put in YOUR kit?
