Charging gadgets without the snake-pits: DIY charging stations #Do It Yourself#electronics#phones October 24 | Ariel Meadow Stallings offbeatbride This is how we charge our phones in my house Are you with me in the loathing of the tangle of cords that makes up the contemporary charging station? At my house, we use a wooden trencher combined with the ol' binder clip solution to keep the cords organized. It's functional and keeps things relatively tidy, but seriously you guys, there are SUCH more lovely ways to charge your phone. Let's doodle together and see some sweet-ass options for how you can make a charging station that doesn't look like a pit of cord snakes tangled into blood-thirsty coils, waiting to strike when you reach for your smartphone. PLASTIC BOTTLES. ! !!!!!!! 3 agree Reply I TOTALLY did that plastic bottle thing, except with a tiny box from face soap and didn't bother to make it pretty – though now I'm getting ideas… Works SO well! Definitely recommend! 🙂 Reply I am so glad you posted this topic – we currently have a wooden bowl that is just a tangle of all our chargers and we have to dig through to find the right one. This is the inspiration I need to find a new solution (that plastic bottle hack is great.) Reply i made my own version of the plastic bottle one using a small milk bottle. it stops the cat from eating my charger cable 1 agrees Reply POIDH! Reply sure. i will take a picture for you when i get home tonight Reply it's in the flickr pool now http://www.flickr.com/photos/65449779@N02/8120227081/in/pool-offbeathome Reply wait. did you want pictures of my charger holder or the multiple cables my cat has eaten? lol 6 agree Reply Ohh the bottle idea is great! I do worry about the felt ones though, being you know. Rather combustible :S 2 agree Reply The fwlt pocket is super cute, but I'd be too nervous to have fabric that close to my electrical socket… It's rare, but sockets can just short out and possibly cause a fire if there's something close enough to fuel said fire.
