Are you like me? Do you have an addiction to a certain coffee that you can only get in whole bean form? Does it happen to come from a place far away, and you have to buy your coffee in bulk all the time? And then you have to find a way to store the beans so that they don’t go bad before you can consume them? But also you want your coffee storage to be visually appealing too? And then you spend hours and hours trying to find the perfect storage container that you can display on your counter?

No? Just me? Ok, well, enjoy the fruits of my coffee bean storage container search anyway. Here were some of my favorite finds…

(Oh hey, pro-tip: if you’re an Offbeat Bride, you can add any of this shit to your Amazon wedding registry!)

After all that… I’m STILL not sure which container I’m going to get. So tell me… what are YOUR coffee bean storage containers of choice?

Comments on Coffee bean storage containers with style

  1. I love the apple one! I’m a sucker for vintage looking tins. The clear and red one is really nice too, though I would prefer a glass lid instead of plastic. Though I guess almost anything would be better than just leaving my coffee in its bag in a drawer…

  2. So it’s probably a little more equipment than you want to get, but I use a vacuum sealer (Food Saver brand) plus mason jars to store my coffee beans. It sucks out all the air and they last WAY LONGER than just in a can. I’ll usually put most of the bag in pint and quart-sized jars, and then fill a few half-pint for immediate use. It’s very satisfying.

  3. I’m mystified by the clear glass container marked Coffee. Coffee is supposed to be kept out of the light! I guess it’s OK if you keep it in a dark cupboard.

I have my coffee stuff sitting in a basket on the counter because it’s used so frequently. My coffee beans are in a large-mouth clear jar that I spray painted purple to keep out light.

  4. Got a jar like the black one at goodwill and a couple others at bed bath and beyond on clearance. We use the sets for lots of dry baking goods and coffee.

  5. I don’t drink Coffee but I got one for tea its made of jadite. It’s a lovely green glass really big back in the 40’s and 50’s. They make new stuff if you can’t afford actual vintage. I have several pieces around my kitchen.

  6. The black “regular” jar is just what I need! And bonus, they have one for “decaf” available too! (And also “tea”…) These would fit right in with my current set of black ceramic canisters.

  7. Oh yes. Now can we have a post on little coffee corners? My coffee maker sits next to my magic bullet, and it looks hideous, although it is convenient. I feel like therr needs a little shelf or something to make it look like a designanted drink space.

Oh and all of my coffee goes in an old coffe tin. :/

  8. Timely post is Timely! I just got a coffee grinder for Christmas (my husband is awesome) and its changed my life. We’ve been buying smaller bags of beans on a weekly basis but I’m sure its probably more cost effective to buy in bulk so it’d be great to have something fun to put on my counter. I just put the death wish one on my amazon wish list!
