Bright pillows, peacocks, and playtime on this very summer deck #Decor & Decorating#backyard#colorful#outdoor living#porches/balconies#summer July 4 | Megan Finley meggyfin I know it's the Fourth of July for our US Homies, and a lot of y'all are outside — grilling things, drinking drinks, and exploding stuff. So in honor of this most summer-y of days, I bring you Offbeat Homie Eve's very summery deck decor… You might remember what this deck looked like, pre-summer prep, from her home tour. Looks like those chairs got a new paint job. Can I just say bright blue chairs FTW? And NOTHING beats that bright outdoor rug. I also love how every chair has their own different colorful-y patterned pillow. Allaboutevelyn explains, They're all Trina Turk — I love love love her stuff and I happened to find some for a steal (between fabric remnants on eBay and then sellers on Etsy who had pillow covers for sale). I've been collecting them since the winter. And of course, I love that peacock on the wall. But it's definitely the chiminea that is my favorite part of the whole thing. I'd love to see more of YOUR outdoor areas. Have you re-done your outdoor space in preparation for grueling outdoor LARPing sessions? Dazzling drunken puppet shows? Ganja S'more roastings? TELL US! Reply If anything could get me to spend a hot summer night on the porch it would be these amazing colors. 1 agrees Reply Aw, thanks for posting it & for the comments! It's undergone a ton of transformation even since these pics, I'll have to send you a few. We just finished putting up a pergola & snagged a new pair of rugs because that gorgeous green one wasn't the most outdoor friendly (even though it was rated as one) – I got tired of hanging it over the railing to dry out every time it rained! 😉 But World Market to the rescue, and their $20 plastic woven rugs! Rose – the outdoor couch is gone in favor of a couple of chaise lounges that I have plans to macrame. While the couch was comfy, the cover had sprung another leak by the end of last summer and we just sort of said, "meh." Unfortunately we didn't have the money to invest into an outdoor mattress that size, so we dismantled it and our dog has a nice jumbo dog bed (once it dried out again, of course!). We gave the table set away to a friend and finally scored a picnic table for the backyard for hanging out with the kiddos. I promise I'll share more if you guys want! It's thisclose to being done. Reply Ah, that makes sense. I bet your dog loves the king-size bed! 1 agrees Reply Where did you get that bright orange rug that can be seen on your blog? Reply It came from World Market! I bought 2 to fill the space as the green rug was a 5×8 and the oranges are 4×6. They have a ton of pretty ones and they were on sale for $14 last week. Reply Putting a bird on it in the absolutely most rad way possible! Love that peacock!! Reply Gorgeous! I love it! Where on earth did you get that amazing fireplace?
