A taxidermied unicorn and a couch with racing stripes in this week's reader photos #Reader Round-up#couches#Pinterest#unicorn November 14 | Cat Rocketship Hellllllllo, Offbeat Homies! Let's get the week going with a look at what's been going on with photos from the Offbeat Home Flickr pool and things we've pinned via the Offbeat Home Pinterest account. My dead animal for the week isn't even dead! But this is one creepy imagining of a unicorn. Source: etsy.com via Emily on Pinterest Nicholas Venaglia spent some time wandernig around San Bruno, CA, and found this tiny topiary arch. I am in undying love with the racing stripes on Tiffany's gray couch. Reminder: it's not too early to start thinking about holiday cards. This one's by Des Moinesian Garrett Cornelison and is bizarre. AHH! This is whosjaja's light-drenched, plant-filled studio. I'm totally drooling over this completely-carved cabin. We're low on weird house posts this week — so you can get your fix with this cutie-pie former church that's on the market. I recently moved in by myself (plus a cat) for the first time, and I've decided to send out Christmas cards this year. I found an ugly Christmas sweater for my cat, so I'm going to take the most intentionally awkward "family" photo for mine. I hope it turns out as well as theirs. 1 agrees Reply Oh my gosh, good luck getting your cat to pose… or even look good in photos. We have four, and the first year we got them we couldn't get a single good picture of any one of them for the christmas cards. Finally, I just went with a couple funny ones (one was my cat trying to bite on the christmas lights while they were lit – and yes, I stopped him before he did – that said merry chr-bzzt, and the other was the ssame cat with a crazy "I will destroy you" look on his face tearing up all of our wrapping paper, which said something to the effect of "Merry F***ing Christmas"….) Anyway, good luck! 0 agree Reply I'd love to see a feature on Offbeat holiday cards. The more creative the better! I'm trying to figure out ideas for one now. 3 agree Reply oh sheesh now i have to do a holiday family card now too complete with cat and crazy sweaters, i wonder if i can incorporate my hermit crabs too lol 0 agree Reply omg, if you could paint up horrible tacky little shells with X-mas jumper patterns for your hermit crabs!!!!! That would be in-f()*^*&^&ing-credible!!!! 0 agree Reply I actually live in Beaverdale.
